California Child Care Providers Training

In partnership with California Department of Social Services, this Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Providers is recommended for child care providers working in a licensed child care facility. 

Child Care Providers training satisfies the training requirement set forth under California Assembly Bill 1207.

How it Works

Mandated Reporter Training for Child Care Providers consists of two training modules, a general module of baseline information and a specialized training with profession specific content, followed by an exam to test your knowledge and earn your certificate.

The General module provides an overview of the definitions, requirements, and protections associated with being a mandated reporter. It is a prerequisite for any profession-specific training.

Child Care Providers
 


This profession-specific module offers additional insight into the duties and responsibilities of a mandated reporter, focusing on specific situations and concerns related to the evaluation of child abuse in a child care setting.

At the conclusion of the training you will take a final exam, which will test the information that you have learned during the training. It consists of 20 questions and requires an 80% or higher to be completed.

Upon successful completion of all modules in the training, an interoperable training certificate that validates your completion of training is available. 

Child Care Providers Training may take up to 4 hours to complete.
